Staff Accountant · CPA Candidate
Tom provides individual and business tax preparation, bookkeeping, business modeling, decision support modeling, and financial analysis. He completed a graduate degree of “Master of Accounting” at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill.
Before becoming an accountant, Tom served in the United States Marine Corps for a decade including multiple combat deployments in the Infantry and Marine Special Operations Command.
Tom is a CPA candidate, is registered with the IRS as a tax return preparer, and holds Intuit tax certifications. Tom has worked with CPAs to provide guidance and further professional development for five years.
Brad Ritter is an active Certified Public Accountant who works with Tom to provide accounting services, professional guidance, and CPA support to Cary Accounting clients. He graduated from Western Michigan University and is listed as active and in good standing with the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners.

Cary Accounting is based in Cary and serves Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Morrisville, Apex, the greater Research Triangle, and clients throughout North Carolina. Most engagements are handled virtually through an organized client portal, with in-person meetings available by appointment.
