Franchise bookkeeping
Books built for the way a franchise operates.
Monthly bookkeeping that connects sales, royalties, required reporting, and tax readiness for franchise owners across the Triangle.

We understand the model
Franchise bookkeeping has another layer.
Your books must support the business you operate and the reporting obligations in your franchise agreement.

Sales to deposit
POS totals, processors, and bank deposits need to agree.
Franchise locations may receive revenue through a point-of-sale system, delivery platforms, gift cards, cash, and multiple payment processors. A disciplined close traces those sources into the accounting records, identifies fees and timing differences, and helps prevent gross sales or royalty reporting from drifting away from the books.

Franchisor-ready reporting
Use the required chart of accounts without losing the owner’s view.
We can align categorization and reporting with the franchisor’s required accounts and deadlines while preserving useful financial statements for the owner. Royalties, advertising-fund contributions, technology fees, inventory, payroll, and other system-specific costs remain visible instead of disappearing into broad expense categories.

Location-level decisions
See what is happening before year end.
Current income statements and balance sheets help an owner examine labor, food or product costs, occupancy, cash, debt, and other operating drivers. For multi-unit operators, a consistent close can support comparisons across locations while keeping separate entities and accounts properly organized.
Franchise bookkeeping scope
Built around the records a franchise owner actually uses.
The final scope follows your franchise agreement, systems, locations, entity structure, transaction volume, and division of responsibilities.
Chart of accounts alignment
Map activity to the franchisor’s required accounts and keep classifications consistent from month to month.
POS and processor reconciliation
Compare sales reports, merchant settlements, delivery platforms, gift-card activity, and bank deposits.
Royalty and brand-fund tracking
Record royalties, advertising contributions, technology charges, and other recurring franchise fees distinctly.
Bank and balance-sheet reconciliation
Reconcile cash, credit cards, loans, payroll liabilities, sales-tax accounts, and other agreed accounts.
Monthly financial statements
Deliver income statements and balance sheets, with location or management reporting when included in the engagement.
Tax-ready year end
Keep fixed assets, owner activity, payroll information, and supporting records organized for the business return.
Common pressure points
Get ahead of the issues that create rework.
Franchise bookkeeping support can help when operational systems produce plenty of data but the accounting file still does not tell a reliable story.
- Gross sales differ between POS, royalty, and accounting reports
- Royalty and marketing fees are difficult to trace
- Franchisor reports require last-minute recoding
- Multiple locations or entities are mixed together
- Tax preparation starts with unreconciled books
Choose the starting point
Choose the service that fits your franchise.
Both options begin with a scope review so the work matches your franchise system and operating structure.

Common questions
Answers for franchise owners.
Can you follow my franchisor’s chart of accounts and reporting format?
Yes, when those requirements are included in the engagement. We review the chart of accounts, required reports, deadlines, and system access during scoping so the monthly workflow is designed around them.
Can you reconcile POS sales and royalty reports?
The scope can include reconciling POS reports, payment processors, deposits, royalties, and related fees. The exact systems and frequency affect the final price.
Does the monthly package include every tax filing?
The Franchise Complete package is designed to include the applicable annual business income-tax return and electronic filing plus scheduled tax planning. Payroll, sales tax, personal returns, additional states, amended filings, and other filings are included only when listed in the engagement.
Can you support more than one location?
Yes. We will confirm whether the locations share an entity and accounting file or require separate books, then define location-level and consolidated reporting needs.
Do you replace the franchisor’s required accounting platform?
No. We work within the approved system and access requirements when practical. If a migration or setup is needed, it is reviewed and priced separately.
